Name: Advertising Gets Social
Description: This category honors companies, individuals or organizations that have completed social advertising campaigns to achieve a goal. Did you increase Facebook fans through page post ads? Have you promoted tweets? If so, you may be our next Advertising Gets Social winner.
Name: Consistently Social
Description: This general category honors companies, individuals or organizations that maintain a consistent, engaging and memorable brand on social media.
Description: This category honors companies, individuals or organizations that are actively involved in the Baton Rouge community and highlight their involvement effectively on social media.
Name: Golden Tweet
Description: Our “Golden Tweet” award honors the most popular tweet of 2014 that has supplemented a brand’s overall digital outreach. Share a link to the most witty tweet you have seen from a brand that deserves recognition at the 2014 SoMe’s.
Name: How May I Help You?
Description: This category honors companies, individuals or organizations that use social media as a customer service platform. Do you tweet tips to customers that help them fill a need? Do you answer questions on Facebook about your product/service? If so, you may be perfect for this category!
Name: Politically Correct
Description: This category honors companies, individuals or organizations that use social media for political campaigns, communicating with constituents or informing supporters. Officials running for office or individuals currently in office can apply to be Politically Correct.
Name: Red Stick Kodak
Description: This category honors a photograph posted by a company, individual or organization to social media that captures the unique culture, community and personality of the Red Stick. The photo must be original and taken within the Baton Rouge area.
Name: Social Scoop
Description: This category honors companies, individuals or organizations that provide valuable, sought-after information to followers using social media. Are you tweeting news articles constantly, sharing free images, blogging about local events or pinning recipes? You may be our next Social Scoop winner!
Name: Spreading the Cheer
Description: This category honors companies, individuals or organizations that put together a great social media campaign based around the holidays. Whether it be a holiday video spread through social media, a giveaway or simply a content strategy – all are welcome to apply and show how you’re spreading the cheer in Baton Rouge!
Description: This is not a category to enter ahead of time. Instead, the top three entries in each of the above categories will be on display at the event. During the event, attendees will be encouraged to tweet/Instagram/Facebook a certain hashtag to place their vote for the [#PeoplesChoice] award.
