October Membership Meeting – Scary Smart Ideas for Promoting Events Through Social Media
Kelley Criscoe Stein has been working in marketing, advertising and event planning in Baton Rouge for over 12 years. She began as a protege under Saundra Lane at Gerry Lane Enterprises. From there, she went on to become the Marketing Manager of Associated Grocers, Inc., where she started the company’s social media program. A significant part of her daily job was teaching and training social media to the company’s executive staff and 200 plus grocery retailers in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi.
In 2010, Kelley founded 10/31 Consortium, a non-profit for Halloween enthusiasts. The organization plans many Halloween themed events throughout the year, most notably, the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade and its corresponding ball, the Ghostly Gala. The organization’s motto, Community Courage Creativity, is represented by its three beneficiaries: the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, and the Baton Rouge Big Buddy Program
Kelley has received numerous professional awards, including four national marketing awards from the National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Association. Most recently, Kelley was honored with the Women In Media Award of Excellence in the non-profit category.
Kelley, now expecting her second child, works from home on various social media freelance projects and also handles all 10/31 Consortium communications and advertising.
