The Baton Rouge Social Media Association is hosting its annual SoMe Awards in January. The SoMe Awards honor the best in the last year of social media in our community (and beyond). The awards will be on January 19, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Pelican House.
Not convinced? We’ve got five reasons why you should enter today.
First of all – Entering is FREE.
Most advertising or PR contests charge you an application fee. The SoMe awards are FREE to enter. So, enter as many projects as you like. The cost is the same: nothing. Enter all of your team’s work in every category. Yep, still free. Nominate someone you just kind of like on social. Because that’s free, too.
Entering is EASY.
The application process for awards is straightforward. No folders or binders necessary. Just follow this link, select your category and enter today.
This contest is for US.
The SoMe Awards are run by social media enthusiasts, for social media enthusiasts. You don’t have to be a big ad agency to compete (though BIG SOCIAL is totally welcome). You don’t have to cite tactics or textbooks. Just give us some background and you’re entered. Our members vote. That’s it.
The categories are UNIQUE.
Instead of trying to force social content into advertising buckets, the SoMe Awards focus on the service you’re providing or the goal of your social media. With categories like “Consistently Social” and “Spreading the Cheer,” our awards are appropriate for social media.
The awards will be FUN.
Forget boring award ceremonies, the Baton Rouge Social Media Association doesn’t do stuffy. We’ll give out these awards at a BAR with snacks and booze. You don’t have to dress formally or wear a costume. We get it: social media managers are basically always on call. You need a drink or two (or three). This is chill, y’all.
